Despite the advances made for women over the past century, women and girls continue to experience harmful and abusive behaviours, including violence, sexual exploitation, sexualisation and commodification. New practices and policies can also expose women and girls to harm by failing to recognise their sex-based needs and vulnerabilities.

Women’s Forum Australia works to prevent and control harmful and abusive behaviour towards women and girls. We conduct research, raise public awareness and advocate for laws, policies and safeguards that protect women and girls from violence, abuse, exploitation and other forms of harm.

This Trust is a registered charity endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). The principal activity of the Trust is the promotion of the prevention or the control of behaviour that is harmful or abusive to human beings* as described in Section 30-288 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.

Donations to the Women's Forum Australia Harm Prevention Charity Gift Fund are held separately from other Trust Funds and used only for harm-prevention activities.

The Gift Fund is administered by the Trustee of the Trust, Women's Forum Australia Ltd (ACN 115 589 225), a company limited by guarantee under the terms of the Women's Forum Australia Harm Prevention Charitable Trust Deed.

You can verify the Trust's registration and DGR status via ABN Lookup and the ACNC Charity Register.

Women's Forum Australia is non-partisan and does not support any political party, candidate, or election campaign. We do not receive any government funding and rely solely on donations to make an impact.
